Shadow Work.

The process of bringing what was once hidden into the light. It is the work of honoring both the light and dark that resides within ourselves. It is an important tool for self awareness and growth.

 

In this blog post, I have shared with you some personal journal prompts that help helped me in my own healing journey. 

 

**TIP: When it comes to doing shadow work or any type of personal growth, remember to be gentle on yourself. You do not need to go through all of the journal prompts included unless you want to. Sometimes, it take just one question to bring profound transformation and healing.**


 What qualities irritate you in other people? Do you see any of these qualities in yourself?

 

Think about denial. Write down your pattern of behaviors that you might be in rejecting: Over Eating? Shopping? Sex Addiction?

 

Ask yourself how these things make you feel. Do you feel you don’t have control? What is the issue?

There is a hot new buzz word going around, you most likely have heard of it. Manifestation. 

 

More people are using this word in their everyday vocabulary. In fact, people are building 6-7 figure businesses on the topic of TEACHING manifestation. Crazy, right?

 

So what exactly is MANIFESTATION?

an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea.

 

So in simple terms, it is when a thought or idea comes into fruition.

 

Now, think of how many times you thought of something, anything, good or bad and it actually came into existence. That is because we came into this life being natural manifestors. Manifesting isn't something you have to work on. It is something that is already within you.

At this point, you might be sitting here shaking your head being like "well, sh!t.. Some of the stuff in my life that I have manifested isn't what I actually wanted!"

 We think we ARE the labels we hold, but we are not. We are so much more than that. I believe it is important to understand that we are all apart of a much greater force that is unseen to the eye. This life, this personality, this person that you are is just a drop in the ocean. We have lived many lives, learned many lessons, and have overcome many obstacles.

 We limit ourselves to the smallest portion of what we can accomplish.

 I can’t work out, I don’t have time.

I can’t get that job, I’m not qualified.

I can’t date that person, they are out my league.

 

The truth is, our potential far greater than we give ourselves credit for.  If you stay within the ego-ic mind, with labels, negativity and fear; you are limiting your potential to just that. When you broaden your horizon and expand your consciousness,...
