The DO'S & DON'TS of Mercury Retrograde
Two words.
MERCURY RETROGRADE.
You may have heard the excuse ”It's because of Mercury Retrograde." If you don’t know astrology, you may have wondered what they were talking about. Of all planetary aspects, this aspect of astrology gets A LOT of attention.
The reason for their interest is clear – this experience, which occurs a couple of times per year, brings both positive and negative along with it. Everyday things like technology and schedules become increasingly slower which can result in many eye rolls and long drawn out gasps. BUT, Mercury Retrograde also brings the importance reminder of slowing down.
Let us look at the do's and dont's of Mercury Retrograde:
THE DO'S
In my podcast interview with Hana the Suburban Witch, she tells us an important things to remember about Retrograde is the first two letters *RE*. These two letters remind us that Mercury Retrograde is a time for Revamping, Research, Remembering, Reading, Revising, Refreshing, and Reapplying.
Mercury Retrograde is a great time to do all those things that we put off. Some examples can be reviewing your expenses, reapplying to jobs or loans, reconnect with an old friend, reviewing documents, redesigning business plans, and just remembering the importance os slowing down.
Take it from me, if you don't slow yourself down, Mercury Retrograde will do it for you so be cognizant of that during these times.
THE DON'TS
Mercury Retrograde MAKES us slow down. Therefore, making impulsive purchases, any type of large transaction (like buying a home or business) may be drawn out and take more time than expected. Being Mercury is a trickster, ex-lovers may pop up on your social media news feed or life as well. When this happens, please realize that this might not be a sign from the universe to get back together with your ex, but a test to see how you will react.
Technology also is very much affected by Mercury Retrograde. Emails will take longer to receive, electronic deposits will take longer, download and upload time with increase. This time is a test of your patience. Take a deep breath, and know that it is only temporary! You got this!
